Televerket (former name for what is today called Telenor) acquires three transponders from Intelsat at 1° West
Televerket acquires the Marco Polo 2-satellite from BSkyB
Exclusive distribution of FilmNet’s channels, Eurosport and CNN
Telenor merges its satellite distribution business, CTV, with FilmNet’s distribution company, MultiChoice. C+ buys MultiChoice’s mother company, FilmNet. The new merged company is called Canal Digital!
Canal Digital becomes a 100% subsidiary of Telenor
First Nordic content provider to offer HDTV
Canal Digital Kabel-TV AS (Norway) becomes a part of Telenor Norway
Canal Digital AS is re-established. Full focus on DTH in the Nordics.
